What's the purpose of this blog?

Partly to keep me busy.

Mostly because I think some other housewife blogs push women to be perfect.

You get titles leading with "happy", "glamorous", "stylish", "hollywood", "vintage", "content", "purposeful", "frugal", and, my favorite, "classic". Where's the damn complaining?!

The truth is homemaking isn't any of those things. You can find joy in it, but there will always be ups and downs. It's a rollercoaster. Sometimes you want to throw up. The last thing it needs is more pressure.

There's enough of that on housewives as it is! As I write this I have a draft about it saved on my hard drive. We're human and it's time we stopped trying to delude ourselves that we're more than that.

This blog is about the trials, tribulations and triumphs that comes with the territory. Especially when the triumph is as simple as baking a batch of basic cookies or successfully folding a veritable mountain of laundry without a drink.

Besides, crazy is totally way more fun than content.
